Writing Is...
A brief message for all the writers out there.
Writing is chiseling. It’s taking a hammer and a chisel to a rock and banging until a shape decides to reveal itself.
Writing is fishing. It’s casting a line and hoping something down there grabs hold.
Writing is improvisation. Does this work? How about this? Or this?
Writing is riding a bull with a blindfold on. (Both you and the bull are blindfolded.)
Writing is gazing up at the stars at night, searching for meaning in a seemingly random assortment of pinpoints of light.
Writing is worthwhile. So keep on doing it.
